Galen College of Nursing is pleased to announce a partnership with StaffGarden — a Digital Healthcare company in Fullerton, California — Galen has joined StaffGarden’s ‘Partners Program’ which provides nursing schools with free access to StaffGarden’s innovative nurse ePortfolio and student population tools.
Galen’s 3500 students will be given access to StaffGarden’s nurse ePortfolio—an interactive, durable, and elegant tool that allows students to connect directly to employment opportunities within the healthcare industry. The ePortfolio is designed to track all nursing-related information from education to employment and beyond, acting as the connective tissue between nurses and the healthcare institutions that hire them.
Students can customize their ePortfolio to suit their career needs. The platform will also allow access to a student population overview, associated reports, as well as enabling them to communicate through email and text messaging. StaffGarden will provide all the necessary training and support of their software to Galen’s team.
Joining StaffGarden allows Galen students to become members of a nurse-focused organization, whose sole purpose is to support nurses’ careers and future opportunities, as well as supporting associated institutions.
“Galen is committed to providing resources for our students to pursue careers in healthcare. Combined with a dedication to technology and innovation, it was an easy decision to work with StaffGarden to offer our graduates these unique tools which will help open doors to opportunity. As one of the nation’s largest educators of nurses, we are also devoted to supporting healthcare institutions in their development of a highly-qualified nursing workforce and are excited to see the benefits of the relationship for both our students and our partners in healthcare.” Says Steve Hyndman, Executive Vice President and Provost.
StaffGarden’s vision is to put the power of choice in nurses’ hands by presenting career opportunities and allowing them to choose. StaffGarden’s platform is expressly designed to promote a positive environment among nurses who join the free service to further their professional careers. Additionally, StaffGarden’s policy of charging no fees to nurses for publishing their profiles promises to attract a wider base of applicants, further increasing the value of the platform as an innovative solution for matching nurses to the right career opportunities.
“StaffGarden is excited about the partnership with Galen and their adoption of our solutions,” says Brian Card, StaffGarden’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “This partnership will not only benefit Galen and their student body but the industry as a whole. Their forward-thinking is a perfect match for StaffGarden’s vision of creating a marketplace that seamlessly connects nurses and institutions.”
