The View’s Joy Behar comments on nurses sparked an outrage. Nurses everywhere then united & started the #NursesUnite campaign across every social platform. The press took notice, companies pulled ads, & apologies were issued.
But while some of the headlines use the term ‘blast’, ‘bash’, & ‘backlash’. We saw some remarkable responses to this event that show a different side. A more ‘nursey’ side.
These posts gave insight to the true nature of a nurse. Proud, caring, & even heroic. While there are many more out there, we wanted to share a few that we found.

If a person doesn’t understand the value & contribution of a nurse, I guarantee they’ve never relied on one to save their life #nursesunite — RN Meets World (@RNMeetsWorld) September 16, 2015

Just like my rifle was a part of me when I was I served in Iraq, as is my “Doctor’s stethoscope” in the trauma ICU I work at. #nursesunite — Merlin C Dacquel, RN (@merlindacquel) September 17, 2015
Nurses are rightfully angry. Don’t be mean. This is a call to action. We’re not doing enough to educate the world.#NursesUnite #TheView

What do we think about Joy’s comments? Well, we’ll let nurses speak for themselves.
